Welcome to Room 9 home of the San Diego State Aztecs!

 

My name is Ms. Morales. I began my teaching experience as a substitute for the Garvey School District in 2002 and worked as a substitute for six years. I taught 3rd grade for five years and middle school Language Arts (5-8th) for three years prior to returning to the Garvey School District. This is be my 14th year teaching and my sixth year as a 4th grade teacher at Rice. I am excited to be teaching at my childhood school... I love Rice School! I am proud to say that I am a product of the Garvey School District (k-8th) and a reason why I am here serving my community. 

 

I look forward to a very productive year. This school year will be an exciting learning experience for us all. We will be working on becoming responsible 4th graders while developing our math, reading, writing, and coding skills. We are beginning with the end in mind and have set goals for ourselves so that we challenge ourselves the entire year.

 

In order to help us be successful, communication and cooperation between home and school will be important throughout the school year. I use the Class Dojo  app to stay connected and maintain open communication with parents.
